Today was our first shopping trip to the Augusta Mall. MiMi, MeMaw, Mommy and Nora. We went to Dillard’s, and the Briar Patch then ate at the All American Grill and then back home. Nora didn't get to see much of the mall but we saw every sale rack at Dillard’s! :)
MiMi held up a dress and asked what we thought and Nora gave the biggest smile! :) Don't remember if that is the dress she ended up buying or not but she did find a dress she liked.
On the way home we stopped at a fresh produce stand and MiMi and MeMaw bought all kinds of good stuff. Corn on the cob, peaches, tomatoes, cucumbers and even a watermelon!
That night when David got home from work we had dinner and then went out side and took some pictures. They turned out really good! Then we loaded up and went to Lowe’s and both MiMi and MeMaw bought Crepe Myrtle trees to take back with them to KY.... and a birdbath.
Then we made a pit stop and dropped Bonnie & Nora off so they could nurse and then David, MiMi and MeMaw went to Walgreen’s and printed all the pictures that we have taken so they will have them to take back to KY. I know they are looking forward to showing them off to everyone back home.

Today Nora had her first doctor’s visit. Since Dr. Nesbitt was on vacation – Dr. Tanner looked her over really good. Weight loss is typical, especially in breastfeed babies since mother’s milk doesn’t come in until around the 3rd day or so. Nora's weight is down to 7 lbs. 4 oz.
David and I were surprised that going to the doctor’s office would be such a big ordeal. We performed a remarkable tag team diaper changing routine while waiting to see the doctor. (diaper #1)
Then after we got to the waiting room she apparently was not done from before so when the nurse came to weigh her and she had to get naked again she got diaper #2.
Then the doctor came into see her – all clothes off again…. they really look them over from head to toe and inside and out…. Shortly after that diaper came off she actually starting doing #2 on the examining table naked. It was a big mess! (diaper #3.) Doctor Tanner looked at David and said, “Ok Daddy, you’re ON.”
We go back on 07/08/04 for her two week check up.

We are so thrilled to finally have our baby girl! We got home from the hospital today and have been doing pretty well so far. Nora is beautiful (the photos don't do her justice...the flash makes her red eyelid appear a lot darker than it actually is) and so far has been sleeping most of the time. It's nice that she's so peaceful, except that her sleepiness has made nursing a little challenging.
You'll be happy to know that Nora's pediatrician, pronounced her in excellent health before discharging her from the hospital. We are to go in Monday for a weight check since we are breastfeeding. He commented that her skin color looks great. No sign of jaundice at all!
Nora's Birth Stats:
Nora is in the 67th percentile in weight. This means that she weighs the same or more than 67 percent of babies the same age.
Nora is in the 86th percentile in length. This means that her length is the same or more than 86 percent of babies the same age.
